You are required to write up a small helper program which collects serial data and dumps the output to STDOUT, which will in turn be read by the "telegraf". The program will be written in C or C++ and compile with gcc or python if you must. The program will compile and operate in a raspberry PI environment running a recent version of raspbian. On the other end of the serial line is a micro controller, which will send the data. This is a simple first "proof of concept" program. All peripheral stuff (command line switches, error handling, etc) has been left out to keep it simple at this stage.
