CAD Draftsperson (Chief Architect)
Required Skills:
1. Highly proficient in Chief Architect software
2. Familiar with building practices in the USA
3. Great attention to detail - accuracy is critical
4. Fluent in English and strong communication skills
5. Able to accurately estimate the time it will take you to complete tasks (before work begins)
Preferred Skills (Not Required):
1. Proficient in creating exterior landscapes, varied height terrains, swimming pools, etc.
2. Ability to create 3D color renderings, including matching pre-specified textures and colors
Most of our projects would require two separate phases of CAD work:
Phase 1
1. Accurately create 3D C/A files from hand-drawn field measure sketches and 360* photographs
2. Dimension and label floor plans
3. CAD drawings should include main fixtures such as cabinetry, doors, windows, soffits, etc. (color and texture matching of items in existing spaces is not required)
4. Must be able to accurately complete the CAD projects in 7 days or less
Phase 2 (After our Lead Designer has created the new design from the as-builts)
1. Label new CAD plans with square footages and dimensions
2. Create specific elevations of walls with dimensions, notes, etc. per our Lead Designer’s specification
3. Create layout sheets with labels, including before and after plan views, elevations, etc.
4. If able, create 3D color renderings with pre-specified texture and color detail
Please note: Projects are mostly interior and vary in size from single-room, multi-room to whole homes and typically range from 1000 to 5000 sq. ft. CAD Draftsperson would need to be able to estimate the amount of time required to complete the project beforehand based on specific description of each project.
