The objective is to develop a code (web crawler), which screens certain SEC Filings ( 10-K ), identified by their CIK, for certain keywords and creates, as an output, a table showing whether and how often particular keywords appear in the financial reports of these companies.
For example: Is and if yes, how often, does the word "reinsurance" occur in 10-K filings of certain companies. Therefore, the code needs to access and index repository (SEC Filings archive), download 10-K filings of selected companies, screen them for a number of keywords and create a table, which comprises the company's name, its CIK, and they count for every phrase in the respective report.
