We are redesigning our company website and are looking for somebody to program the website to our design (see attachments). The system will need to be robust and easy to update, and have good potential for SEO, probably using a system such as Drupal or WordPress.
We will provide the designs as Photoshop files and can provide any graphics required, but it is important that the programmer has a good attention to detail and can ensure that the website is presented to a very high standard. We are keen to work with somebody who understands what we are trying to achieve, and can advise us on the best way to achieve it in simple, non-technical language.
It will need to view correctly on all major browsers, including Internet Explorer, Safari, and Mozilla Firefox.
The site must also meet all current international accessibility standards (W3C).
The website will have several main pages using the layouts shown in the attached images.
The gallery sections of the site should display thumbnails of images, which can be enlarged and viewed as a slideshow using a feature such as lightview. [url removed, login to view]
On the home page, there should also be a form to sign up for our newsletter. We already have a newsletter system in place and can provide the code for the form.
In addition to this, we want a WordPress blog integrated into the website. It should be possible to divide this into several categories like sections of a magazine (for example, see [url removed, login to view]). ideally this should look like a seamless part of the main website, but so long as it closely reflects the brand style of the main site, then it will be okay. The blog should also have good potential for search engine optimisation, most probably including the 'All in One SEO' plugin.
Both the blog and the main website should have static page headings.
We also have a forum on our website. It is already in place on the current site and will simply need to be linked into the new site.
E-mail addresses written on the site should be coded in such a way that they cannot be read by spiders, and therefore are less susceptible to SPAM.
We already have a domain name and hosting.
