rather than building an entire project for me I would also like a breakdown of the code and how the GUI was developed, I am familiar with tkinter but I would like to knkw how to code a more modern looking GUI I would require someone to develop me a code which is east to read and understand so I may use it as a guidee for future projects

Hey, I've actually recently been building a GUI for a custom car infotainment system based on the Pi. I had the same issue as you - tkinter just looks old. There's another library called Kivy which has the modern styles you are looking for. Cheers, Fahd
