I come from a government contractor software, network, data, configuration management, budget, and "Dilbert" management environment. As a Monopoly clone I think this would be a hoot to develop. Utilities could be QA and CM, each property set could be a software package, houses and hotels are "Standard" and "Premium" upgrades, taxes on houses and hotels could be called bug fixes... Some how work in ideas like project scope creep, underfunded projects, no training, interns, TPS cover sheets, etc.. Include familiar gags from Dilbert, Office Space, and even Idiocracy (we used the phrase "face sitting" to describe meetings with the boss)... no software project is completed without a few dozen cases of Dew and even a few intercubical pranks to disrupt progress. Lots of ideas with chance and community chest hazards..
