The project to Find a mission critical facility to use as your final customer. You are responsible for finding your own facility to research. Prepare a PROPOSAL that would help with efficiency and reliability of the facility.
Required sections of proposal include:
Background – This section of your proposal should have all relevant information about your facility and customer. This should include facility location, size, use, load requirements, future expansion, ect.
Interview – Customer requirements garnered from interview process. Include questions/results as an appendix.
Proposed changes/upgrades - Technical upgrades to increase any of the following based on project requirements.
Redundancy (example: reaching a Tier III Plus design)
Protection (example: fire protection)
Design Approaches – Include passive and non-passive facility design and layout changes. Include how the new designs will aid flexibility.
Distributed Generation/Storage Potential – On-site or local production and storage.
Phasing – Include phases so that there is no interruption (e.g., cooling, power) to any part of the facility while the new equipment /technologies are being installed.
Estimate – Detailed cost estimates. Include initial cost of the project and long-term operating costs/savings.
Operations and Maintenance – Discuss requirements and issues for future O&M practices.
Applicable Codes and Regulations
