Freelance post-editor

Nuanxed is a dynamic Swedish start-up company that has embarked on an ambitious journey. Our aim is to build an end-to-end translation service and reimagine the current literary translation process. We intend to incorporate translation memories and machine translation (MT) into the translation workflow, while upholding the high-quality standards within the industry. To succeed in that, we invite you to join us on that thrilling journey. We are looking for experienced post-editors (either through education or professional experience) who are interested in a valued collaboration with Nuanxed. The main tasks will consist of post-editing machine translation, potentially revising other translations, as well as testing our proprietary tools and being an early adopter of our service. This will allow you to grow with the company and secure your place within an exciting industry, as we will no doubt gravitate more and more towards MT in the future. Applications are accepted for freelancers who meet the following requirements: - Native speaker: Danish, Norwegian or Swedish - Highly fluent in English - Knowledge of one or more CAT tools - Proven experience with post-editing machine translation or graduated with a relevant master’s degree (computational linguistics, language technology, etc). - Experience with revision and linguistic editing is a plus Preferred competences: - Proactive mindset - Attention to detail - Willingness to embrace change - Problem-solver
