Communication not only conveys a certain message, but also shows an individual's personality and sets a tone for the message itself. As a Spanish and English bilingual professional, I have first hand experience of how a poor translation can distort communication between the speaker and listener. Poor translations can make something cheerful sound serious, something sarcastic or humorous sound rude, or straight out remove the confidence with which the speaker is sending out his message. Having this understanding allows me to focus not only on getting the message across to your audience, but also with the same energy and exact meaning that you intended.
During my years in DHL Honduras, I always lead our conference calls with our North American and European clients, as I was able to understand their different accents and communicate with them without hesitation, while also translating to our Spanish only local team.
I feel this job will not be a problem for me.
Best regards,
Marco
