In a word document, after each picture a text must be inserted corresponding to the following format : XXRINN XX : a dialog box must ask for this two characters at the beginning of the script NN : number of the image in the document, first is 01, second 02 and so on THEN : when I decompress [login to view URL] using unzip, all pictures are saved in the folder : word/media. I want that each file to be named with the same XXRINN we wrote in the document HINT : only single picture in the document must be processed, if a picture is grouped with another picture or a drawing... dont care of it TRAP : only pictures (gif, png, jpg) must be labeled and renamed, drawing and shapes have to be skipped because they are not associated to a file TEST : your macro will be evaluated using the following joint file : [login to view URL] LAST : you must explain how to install and run your script/macro in word I use WORD 2013 and your script will be tested with this version

Hello ! My experience with vba is more than 10 years. I can do this in a vba procedure that will start when click a button in the Word ribbon / Main tab. Hi employer! It can be done using a MS Word AddIn that can be installed using a common .msi installer, it will add a tab in MS Word ribbon with a button that will trigger the macro: it will first ask for the XX characters and then finish processing the file. The cost estimation is a little higher than the proposed cost but I think it worth it since it requires some validations. Looking forward to working with you.

I’ve created something similar in the past. Alternatively, the user form could request you to browse to a folder location and save images there during renaming.

Hi there, As per your instruction above, I think I am capable to help since I play around with VBA and C# a lot. Beside the dialog box for asking the beginning code and inserting textbook with the valid picture. I think that exporting all pictures, with the assigned name, into a folder under the same location of the word file may be a better way for you, instead of decompress the file and get the pictures manually. Once you are ok with the suggestion above and the code developed, you can copy and paste the code into the file VBA window and use it directly.
