You'll need German language skills to do this task.

You'll work online and talk to people on the phone.

YOUR GOAL:

Get copies of successful written examinations from the Second Bar Exam ("Zweite Juristische Staatsprüfung" or "Assessorexamen") from within the last 10 years that have scored marks from 9 to 18 points. I am not looking for the questions - but for the answers (usually about 12-30 handwritten pages).

Higher marks have higher priority over lower marks. Do them first.

Newer exam papers have have higher priority over older ones.

Once you yield copies of 10 such papers contact me before proceeding.

You'll need German language skills to do this task:

HOW YOU DO IT:

Research people who passed their exam with such high grades.

First, you can do that online: For instance, some commercial training services ("Repetitorien") advertise with the names of their successful clients. Also, there might be newspaper articles or announcements from universities online about someone being the No. 1 candidate in their exam ("Landesbester").

Second, you can contact the Bar Exam Administrations. There is a separate one for each Bundesland, and they are normally called "Landsjustizprüfungsamt". You'll get better results (and a better feeling about how to handle them) if you don't ask via email but call them on the phone. If they say they cannot give you any names because of their privacy policy ask them if they will at least forward an email for you. Also, it seems like big law firms do learn the names of the candidates with the best results - so there must be a way.

Once you're at it, you might want to ask the people from the Bar Exam Administration themselves whether they have anonymized copies of successful written tests that they will send you (usually for a fee).

If you found out names of successful people, find out how to reach them (try Google, [url removed, login to view] and [url removed, login to view]). Contact them and kindly ask whether they still have copies of their original written examinations from the bar exam itself ("Examensklausuren") or maybe written test examinations from their preparation ("Probeklausuren aus dem Referendariat oder dem Repetitorium"). If they can scan and email them - great. If they can fax them, use a fax-to-email-service. If they can send copies via snail mail, give them - for convenience - my address.

DELIVERY:

If you receive the copies in electronic format, upload them on RAC.

If people offer you to send them physically, give them my postal address (which you'll receive after you've been selected).

EXPENSES:

Offer to pay the shipping when people agree to send exam papers via snail mail. Also, if someone says he'll have to search offer to buy them a book on amazon (they might have a Wish List?) or something like it. For each written exam paper I'll pay up to the points number it scored in Euro (9 EUR for a 9 point paper, 14 EUR for a 14 point paper...).

If you surpass a budget threshold of 50 EUR contact me before proceeding.

MY GOAL:

I am in the process of preparing for the Second Bar Exam myself. And I don't want to learn from books or people who, to my knowledge, never scored 14 points in a written exam themselves. Instead, I want to see what an actual real-life success examination looks like and try to understand the way of thinking that it's based on.
