You have commissioned the production of artwork based specifically on this design - https://www.thewildside.com/product/iguana-relax/ - clearly watermarked as copyrighted to and the property thereof of The Wildside - a groupeSTAHL Company - with the intent of using such derivative work commissioned via Freelancer as your business Trade Mark. Can you in anyway spot the inherent legal problem that may cause YOU if you proceed or do you require Support to walk you though it...?

  We're here to help, not accuse - but it would be remiss (to say the least) ourselves allowing you to walk from here thinking you've done the smart thing. In this instance, it's impossible to miss. You even give WRITTEN direction regarding which bits to leave out of the original material....

  You need to clearly understand - this isn't Freelancers problem. It's YOURS. If you proceed without informing the Attorney you're planing on using to secure your Trade Mark the whole circumstance by which you procured the artwork you plan to use - the onus lies completely with you. You leave here informed, we did our job. And, please. No need to thank.

Travis - the specific - legal - point of a Trade Mark is that it provides the owner with a UNIQUE visual identity pertaining specifically to their business. What you've done here is commission the production of a design based exclusively and heavily upon an EXISTING artwork. For which, you have paid $1000 bucks and left a paper-trail leading directly to you (personally) and your business (directly) commissioning said derivative work. All out in public domain. Well done. Small ripple of applause. Hearty congratulations. If you do nothing else today - you NEED to tell your Trade Mark Attorney the circumstances of how you procured the artwork for your proposed Trade Mark. That is actually quite important. Don't worry about the $1000 bucks you've spent, you can write that off against Tax. You need to tell your Attorney the WHOLE situation BEFORE you spend a cent more. Have a good one. S : )

I am looking for a detailed colorful image of an Iguana........I would prefer the Iguana in the picture be more muscular than fat, no round belly.....The Iguana can be placed in a beachy background (sun, surf, palm trees.......I like the look of the classic wood surfboards.......All artwork must be original, this will be going to a trademark attorney.......If you are posting others work as an idea for comment please note that.
