I would like to hire a Graphic Designer for a Book Cover Design

Most self/help business book covers are just boring text treatments. Awfully boring.

I care as much about the graphical representation of my ideas as the ideas themselves so that is no solution for me.

I am in the early stages of working on a new book right now with the working title "The Disciplined Pursuit of Now" and am looking for a representation of the before and after state being described in the book itself.

Some of the “from” words for this book include: mental fatigue, voices coming at you all the time, noise, feeling a bit incoherent, everything happening at once. Some of the “to” words for this book include: perspective, seeing things clearly, taking small actions that lead to big results, the panoramic now.

People should be able to look at the cover and know in an instant that this book is for them. The graphics should speak to them even faster than the words in the title and subtitle. It should create an emotional connection.

I also have a color and style scheme: black, hand-drawn sharpie on a white background. I am open to other treatments though but I would have to be convinced. See my previous book, "Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less."
