Hello.

I need a logo for a website related to tourism and culture. The name of the site is 'Girovago'. This website will be kind of a vlog, it will contain short documentaries and written work about the cultures around the world and as an extra it will contain information for tourists to enjoy their vacation. It's a mix between travel vlog, culture magazine and documentary film production.

I don't have a start point for you to work. You can send a proposal in the style you like. All ideas are welcome.

You can provide a text, an illustration, a drawing, a photo or any other proposal form you're comfortable with for the selection. After awarding the project you need to deliver not just the proposal entry but a vectorized logo ai or eps (of course this logo will be done using your entry proposal).

Leave a link to your portfolio in your proposal.

Background info: 'Girovago' comes from the latin gyrovagus (Gyro = circle / Vagus = Wandering) It was a type of monk that by not submitting to the regular life of anchorites and cenobites, wandered from one monastery to another. It was used in a pejorative way, they were accused for indulging their passions and cravings. They were considered lost people without spiritual peace.
You can use this as an inspiration (Not necessarily).

As i'm receiving the same generic logos, i've uploaded some logos i googled that i think are "clever" or "creative" so you can see what i'm looking for.
NOTE: It's not the minimalist style what a like about the examples attached. What i like is the clever way they 'hide' in their icon their name. 1-. Circus of Magazines logo: You can see a circus tent built with the pages of a magazine. 2.- Dodo restaurant: You can see in the skewer the name 'DODO'. 3-. Freedom logo: I think this is easy to get, part of the 'm' is the bird flying free

As i increased the prize, this contest is no longer a sketch or idea contest. At the end you'll need to provide a finished logo. For the entries you can submit just sketches . Thanks.

Hi there. Just wanted to ask. Would a stand alone "g' letter work as a logo. Or would you prefer a typography? I'm currently working on a new concept.

  If it's literally just a 'G', it doesn't work as the logo for this project. I can type myself a G in illustrator. If this G is a illustration or any other creative approach it might work.
