Hey Freelancers, get those creative juices going and enter my contest. We need a new logo for my premium japanese leather drawstring backpack business, LYX. Feel free to visit our instagram @lyx.leather or our website www.lyxleather.com to get a feel for our product and brand.

Purpose:
• The logo will be embossed, lasered or stitched onto our bags. Hence the logo cannot be overly intricate as it may need to be made into a metal stamp for hot stamping onto leather.
• The logo will also appear on our IG, website and other material.

About our brand:
• Our origin is that we wanted a premium bag that can put in our luggage, take up little space and be used as a luxurious day bag.
• We are all about luxury, travel and leather. Our bags are minimal, clean and simple designs. Our leather is premium Japanese grained leather. The rope is marine grade and our knots are nautical. Our positioning is premium. Ideal customer is fashionable, 20’s or 30’s, semi affluent.
• Our product competitors are Gucci and Givenchy drawstring backpacks. We aspire to be in the contemporary / luxury category.

Design ideas:
• The lettering “LYX” does not need to appear in the logo. Whatever looks best.
• Given we like travel, we like travel related logos (don’t feel limited to this). In the past we have considered plane or hot air balloon logo however these may not be premium enough.
• We quite like a compass design, however we are conscious the Stone Island logo is a compass. So if you pursue a compass, it must look substantially different to the Stone Island logo.

One further comment, is a reminder that the logo should be premium/luxury, relatively simple, fashion. Some very good designs have been a bit too IT company or too intricate to hot stamp/laser burn onto leather.

Hi i'm overwhelmed with the entries so far, thank you. Some very creative ideas. Generally I'm more inclined towards a logo which doesn't feature the "LYX" lettering. Also although i like the compass designs (some of these are looking very Stone Island brand), i welcome other creative interpretations of travel related logos e.g jets, planes, trains, hot air balloons, cruise liner, yachts, passports, suitcases.
