I need the front side of a package designed. This package is a plastic "pouch" bag that will hold premium quality "dishwasher salt".
- The final file will need to be sent to me in an .ai format.
- It should be 241cm wide X 292 cm high and should be print ready with a 1/8" bleed.
- If used, the logo should NOT be a main focus of the design.
- The design should include approx 20-40% blank space, which will remain clear, to display the actual product inside. (white salt inside)
- Please note - we will be paying for each color used to print the design, so we will likely put a slight preference on designs that use more simple color pallets to avoid excessive printing fees.
* I have included a few examples of similar packages and some similar products.
* I have attached an image of the logo we will use on this product.
* I have attached an image of the text to use on the product, unless you have better ideas!

Thank you Freelancers who have entered this contest. We have extended the contest and hope to receive additional design ideas. As I mentioned in a comments below, it would be slightly preferred to have a smaller number of colors in the design, but I would rather have good design, marketing and presentation than a small amount of color in the designs, so please feel free to use your imaginations and come up with unique presentation using whatever color you feel is necessary. PLEASE NOTE - The example bags in the attached files are from competing products and we do NOT want to look just like them. Please do not duplicate their look and feel completely. They are just there as examples of the similar products in their packaging! Thank you! I look forward to seeing your great ideas!

It is interesting that in your brief you wanted a design with as few colors as possible, due to lower cost of printing, and all well-rated works are at least 4 spot color or full CMYK.

  I agree with you. I wish we would have found a better solution and design that would have worked better with a one or two color design. I did state though that "we will likely put a SLIGHT preference on designs that use more simple color pallets..." so it was a suggestion rather than a requirement. I also ran into a problem of many Freelancers copying an attached example file nearly completely instead of coming up with truly unique design, which made many of the entries hard to give credit to, since that was a competing product and we wanted to improve/set ourselves apart from them and not just copy and look like them... Thanks for the feedback. I'll need to clarify better next time I post a project or contest!
