In this first instance, I am looking for a native English speaking person to proofread a chapter of my thesis; it will be about 10 000 words long. The text needs to be checked for spelling errors and grammar via "Track Changes" (Document comes in Word .doc file.).

Being 100% honest (I hope you are too), I need you to proofread my chapter making it more readable by correcting mistakes, typos, changing the order of sentences and/or anything else you think is appropriate to do. The objective is to make my chapter a clever piece of work easy to read, it is still an academic piece of work though. I hate scholars writing in a complicated way, so do not need to worry about technical and difficult terms.

I am already using a software to check my papers, but, as we know, humans [can if they want] do better than a software. As you can see, I am doing my best to help you. So, I am not willing to pay too much for it at this stage. Got it? (UPDATE 1, a friend of mine took about hours to make a 10K piece of work spot on. So, I guess yo may need to put the sam amount of work )

I need someone with:
- Great spelling and grammar
- Ability to reword and rewrite when (if) necessary

I DO NOT NEED
- No need to worry about layout and formatting
- Plagiarism, I do not need or want!
- You doing research on my behalf

Ah! My research is about an immigrant group in a South American country. If you have knowledge and/or interest in the field of Migration, Borders, Geography, Politics or International Relations studies, [ I think] you are likely to find easy to revise my papers.

If all goes as planned, I will have it ready in the middle of July (UPDATE 2 : My life is going mad, I will not even get back to work on my thesis until beginning of August. So, we not consider end of August. I am sorry)

If my supervisors do not make any comment about the way it is revised (do not worry, I am 100% responsible for it, I will decide whether or not to accept the Track Changes), I may give you my other chapters to be proofread/revised ( my entire thesis will be about 80k long + summaries). I plan to have my entire thesis written by December 2015.

I have attached a part of the chapter I am working on, I find this chapter the most difficult to write (because the theoretical part is very abstract), so you can have an idea of my research topic. I have not attached this file expecting it to be proofread.

Yes, this is not a contest. If you don't want the sample you attached to be proofread, then you may not understand the nature of a contest versus posting a project for bids. This is categorized improperly.

I don't think you meant to post this as a contest. The way things stand, you will need to award the $60 prize to someone who edits the small extract you have posted. You should contact Freelancer.com support to help you change this to a project so that you can hire one freelancer once you are ready with your thesis.
