Animation of phrenology head view using Maya/3ds -> Flash

I need to create animation of phrenological map view. The animation must be realistic 3d with perspective camera view.

The animation will start with the frontal image of the phrenology view, and then animate to split brain vertically in the middle, and the brain opens up like a book - displaying center part of phrenology map view.

Then this animation needs to be converted into light-weight flash animation of up to 5 seconds total.

I will create 3 equal milestones:

1st - after all the drawings have been completed (at least 3 - start position - middle position - final opened version)

2nd - after low quality fully working animation has been approved.

3rd - after flash is approved and all the sources are delivered.
