I need a environment for running a php application with mysql. My idea is to have two instances dedicated for each task; one for MySQL and one for the Zend Server. If you have another better solution I am also listening for that.

I will give you login to AWS. Instances are not bought but payment method is set. Buying the two instances should not be a problem. If there is I will be available on skype.

I think Zend Server has preconfigured instances for Ubuntu. Linux distro does not matter. Choose what suits the purpose best. Run the same distro on both servers if you do not have a reason not to.
I want access to both instances over ssh. Include ssh key when you are done or use the one that already exist on AWS.
The servers will exchange quite much traffic. Have this in mind and do not place them in different region. Users will mostly be from Sweden so choose region close.

Configure the mysql server to use given resources fully. Performance is important.
Use version that plays well with php 5.3.
I want to be able to connect from the other instance running Zend Server. Provide host name, login, password and one test database to connect to. Test the connection with a simple php script on Zend Server just to see that it is working.
Disable unnecessary processes if there is any.
Enable slow query log and log queries without indexes.

Zend Server**

Choose PHP 5.3
I have a trial license to Zend Server. Use this. We will buy full license later.
Zend Server has to have Job Queue, Data Cache and Optimizer working. Nothing special really since this is built into Zend Server.
Zend Server Administration accessible from my computer at home. Just open port 10081 and add security group in EC2. Quite easy but this has to be done in installation of EC2 instance (reminder).
Configure the zend server to use given resources fully. This includes Apache2 and PHP. It is mostly this I need help with.
Disable unnecessary processes if there is any. Do not disable anything needed for sending emails from php.
Also install phpMyAdmin and configure this to access the MySQL server.

Documentation**
Provide documentation for the configuration you made. This includes changes to the original configuration. This will able me to see approximately how well the servers will perform.
