BRIEF:
We require the development of a software to create surveys, forms, data collection tools, store them in a database that can be cloud-based that can store large amounts of data. Please set it up to run on the web. The front end would have to be customizable, intuitive, and very user-friendly. We require the ability to pre-program data analysis including trend analysis, averages, percentages, bivariate analyses as appropriate, and basic analysis of qualitative data. We also require real time visual display of the analyzed data through graphs, run charts, pie charts, etc., customized to needs. The database should be able to produce reports and descriptive data tables, pre-formatted by the user. It should also be able to retrieve data from different sources (different surveys and forms—linking of surveys and forms) when creating reports.
The user-interface should be attractive, and very simple. All of the set up (form creation for data entry, data analysis settings, report format, etc.) should be a front-end activity. Once it is set up, the user should only have to enter data, and the analyses should happen automatically and in real time. If the form needs to be modified, it should not require code. The database should also automatically note date, time, and place (GPS function) of data entry.
The intended audience for this is a non-profit/international development firm where data is collected from multiple sources, often from resource-poor settings. Because of that, we need it both web-based and non-web based but up-loadable. They must be able to monitor their projects using this. This software is being designed specifically with that audience in mind, and will be tested, tweaked and finalized based on their recommendation.
