Introduction.
I run an e-commerce website, and, need a data scraping program developed that will automatically scrape my supplier’s website, daily. There website is a wholesaler website which does not display their prices openly, so I need this program to access their prices via our account login.
Purpose of Data Scraping Program.
The purpose for this program is to act as a product up-dating program for our Open-cart e-commerce’s based website.
Functions of Data Scraping Program.
1. Automatic Start-up and login to wholesaler’s website.
2. Scrape data on all products, from appointed categories, on supplier website (categories given later)
3. Retrieve and temporary store necessary data on all required products.
4. Upload / Insert products into our Open-cart eCommerce administration panel
5. Price; the price needs to be taken from the suppliers website, then before it is displayed on our website, we need to add our mark-up to all product prices, however we need to be able to change this mark-up percentage manually.
