Pre-production: - detailed research, fact-checking and data tracking in Excel and Google Sheets - cold calls - creative development - screenwriting - comedy writing - pitching ideas to client / executive producers - building production budgets, schedules - booking travel and accommodations for up to 100 people simultaneously - hiring crew - negotiating prices with vendors - written and verbal communication - coordination - call sheets - casting from live auditions, submitted video, headshots and resumes - client and talent relations - script breakdowns Production: - production management including payroll, scheduling, tracking and verifying purchase orders, maintaining production budget - project management - equipment management including extensive domestic travel, international travel, carnets, etc. - expectation management - ensuring network mandates and protocols are being followed - risk assessment and problem solving - keeping production documents up to date and network deliverables organized - interdepartmental liaison - coordinating locations, pulling permits - maintaining detailed travel and hotel schedules for up to 100 people simultaneously - juggling moving pieces, reprioritizing tasks as needed - appearance, music, location and art releases - working with vendors - keeping shoot on schedule and on budget - following labor laws and union rules for crew and talent - script supervising Post-Production: - cash reconciliation - tax rebates - communicating with client through rounds of edits - ensuring work meets expectations - paper deliverables payroll and contractor tax forms
