Wow, looking at the date of my last blog post, I realize it really has been long time for me posting anything at all. So, much happened during this time – completion of [login to view URL], startup explorations in the following weeks, joining a startup (yep!), convocation at the new campus of my college institute, Mussorie trip with startup friends, those fun Sundays with cousins, and the list goes on…
Anyways the purpose of this blog entry is just making a note of today’s small achievement which I have been waiting desperately for sometime! I promise I will keep it short
BTW, did I mention that I joined Mobikwik recently (yes I’m part of the same nice team at Mobikwik where I did my internship). Without going into details of the other good things the team has been onto, I’ll just skip ahead to what I came to share. Few weeks back we released an android app and from zero downloads, it today crossed 100k total downloads ( 100,026 as per Play Store console stats today which updates once per day, all organic, zero expenditure on advertising so far )! I consider that as an important milestone reached and I am proud to be part of this achievement.
Initially the app only consisted of mobile recharge facility but now one can use it to pay postpaid mobile bill, to recharge data card and DTH, to pay landline bill, electricity bill, gas bill and even insurance policy and all transactions are totally free ( no extra charges ).
Few things which I would list as key features of the app are:
– The app is small size, fast and light on your mobile phone CPU and bandwidth consumption
– Park money into your Mobikwik wallet and make simple, fast, hassle free payments without hopping between merchants, payment gateways, banks, then back, then back. Pay in one click!
– Lots of payment options. Whether you use credit card, debit card or netbanking we support them all. You don’t use either of them? You can use CashPay to pay at your doorstep and recharge or pay your bills.
We are still working on improving the app, adding more services and making the experience smoother, mobile apps for more platforms are on their way coming out very soon as well. And that’s just tip of the iceberg, the ways in which Mobikwik wallet will make life easier for everyone in near future is going to be amazing.
