2014 consumer technology web research and data entry

We are an e-commerce business specialising in batteries and chargers for consumer electronics including digital cameras and laptop computers.
We require an experienced web research and data entry professional to maintain our extensive database of consumer electronic parts and models.
To select the right person/team to maintain our database on an ongoing basis we will first test your abilities with a web research task.
The web research task we have selected requires that you:
1) Compile a Google Spreadsheet of all digital cameras, camcorders and laptop computers released worldwide in 2014 up to 5th May 2014
2) Determine which products we sell that are compatible with each new digital camera, camcorder and laptop
3) Prepare a CSV file to import the new digital cameras, camcorders and laptops to our website linking them with our compatible products
To complete this task you should:
• Research and compile an exhaustive list of websites to monitor for new camera and laptop announcements
• Categorise the websites into those from the original source (e.g. official brand websites) and those from third part sources (e.g. blogs and news websites)
• Search the websites for 2014 camera and laptop announcements
• Add the new cameras and laptops to a Google Spreadsheet
• Update the spreadsheet with selected specifications for each laptop and camera (Please see "Example [url removed, login to view]" attached)
• Match each new camera and laptop to our product SKUs
• Create a CSV file meeting the specifications of our e-commerce software to import new cameras and laptops to our database linked to the correct products (See Example [url removed, login to view] attached)
• Import new cameras and laptops to our database using the created CSV file
Skills Required:
• Excellent Web research
• Excellent Data entry
• Excellent Microsoft Excel data manipulation
• Web scraping knowledge and experience highly considered
• Other technical skills highly considered
Personal Qualities
• Strong interest in consumer electronics
• Excellent knowledge of technology
• Detail oriented person
Communication Expectations:
• Must have excellent near fluent written and verbal English
• Must provide a valid mobile telephone number and be available for phone calls during working hours
• Must provide a valid Skype account and be available by Skype chat during working hours
• Must provide a valid email address and be available to respond to emails during working hours
