Derive the residence time distribution for the combination of a plug flow reactor followby a two CSTR reactor in which the feed from the plug flow reactor is divided between thetwo CSTRs so that the feed rate to the CSTR with volume V2is F2and the feed rate to theCSTR with volume V3is F3. The volume of the plug flow reactor is V1and the volumes ofthe two CSTRs are V2and V3respectively. The volumetric flow rate to the reactor sequenceis F1and the cross sectional area of the tubular reactor is A1. The concentration of solutein the feed is C0. For a first order reaction is there an optimal choice for the ratios V2/V3and F2/F3?
