Hello,

I need an AdWords expert who can tell me how to use exact match keywords yet to allow for a user to input their city.

For example: [criminal defence lawyer] is great as there is no need to use negative keywords and Google has changed the system so it will adapt this exact match to terms its AI detects as similar. However if someone Googles "criminal defence lawyer new york" the [criminal defence lawyer] won't be triggered and the ad will not show.

As our business spans two states, we need users to be able to input their city, whatever it is (Google will be smart enough to know it is a city) so that the ads shows.

Exact match are perfect, as no negative keywords are required to be maintained and it is a high buying intent search, therefore broad and phrase keywords are inappropriate for negative keyword and having to have individual keywords for over one thousand cities.
