JavaScript/NodeJS Developer

Background

We are looking for a Sr. Node JS Developer with experience in building high-performing, scalable, cloud-based applications that can support millions of users, billions of transactions.

Responsibilities

● Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications delivering high-availability and performance.

● Contribute in all phases of the development life cycle.

● Write well designed, testable, efficient code.

● Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications.

● Prepare and produce releases of software components.

● Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.

● Understanding of modern development practices – REST, OAuth, API development, etc.

Requirements

● BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.

● 3+ years of experience in JS development

● Object Oriented analysis and design using common design patterns.

● Understanding and previous experience implementing authentication schemes such as OAuth2

● Profound insight of JavaScript and NodeJS internals including building public node (npm) modules

● Ability to quickly learn and understand complex APIs - REST, streaming, webhooks

● Knowledge of SQL & NoSQL (including mysql & dynamodb)

● Experience with queueing/pub-sub technologies (Redis, RabbitMQ etc)

Experience with AWS, IoT technologies (Z-Wave, Zigbee, Hubs) a plus.
