Excel (2000 or 2002) add-in query builder for Interbase. It is clinical software to do searches to find patients that fullfill the criteria specified with the query builder. These searches are limited in that only 9 tables are involved altogether and only 4 to search on.

I am an amateur programmer and have been working on this project for the last few months. It is near completion and is fully working, but I could do with a professional programmner with knowledge of VBA, ADO, SQL and Interbase have a look at the code and perhaps give suggestions for improvements. The connection to the database is through ODBC with the driver from Intersolve. The Interbase version is 5.6, but I have been developing at home with a trial version of Interbase 7. Due to constraints from the maker of other clinical software, we are not allowed to write to the database, so only SELECT SQL statements are possible.

Suggestions for improvement, with coding examples. Rationalising of the code to make it more simple to maintain.
