Mobile website music player

Please help, I need a Javascript guru!

I have a mobile music website -> "[login to view URL]" It plays songs from a list one after another.

The issue is when the screen is off the current song finishes but the player doesn't proceed to the next song. When you go back to the website, the player automatically starts playing the next song again.

This player uses a javascript file so is there any way I can run this file continuously? I need the player to be able to proceed to the next song while the screen is off. This issue happens both on Apple and Android devices. On Apple, safari keeps playing the current song when you turn the screen off but doesn't skip to the next song after the current song is over unless you turn on the screen and go back to the safari page.

I heard this is possible but I don't know javascript well.
