Check list of URLs to see if they redirect (plus later scraping work)

We are looking for someone to assist with a project already underway and mainly need help improving our data scraping.
Our immediate requirement is to check a list of URLs we have in Excel (5 files, about 10k-20k lines all up). We want to know if the URL redirects. Here is an example [url removed, login to view], which redirects to a generic page.
Output in Excel indicating whether the URL exists, redirects or is a bad link.
Further later work (not to be included in this bid) is to test the quality of some scrap data we have and, most likely, undertake to scrap select websites on a monthly basis on an ongoing basis. This data would be rolled into a MYSQL DB we have.

20k urls to check is a huge number. I ll code a VBA macro to provide the statut of the link : redirect, good or bad. It will be fast and with 100% acurancy. I can also provide the URL where we will be redirected.
