PROJECT 1 : Email Notifications of new posts
The community forum is a bbPress installation that has a plug-in call "Post Notification" which when activated (check box) from the members profile, enables them to receive email notifications when there is a new posting on a thread that they have tagged as a "favorite".
This has proven to be ineffective as members don't go through the bother of tagging threads a favorites.
Looking for a developer to modify / create a new plug-in which allows members to receive an email notification when a new posting is made on a thread that they have either created / posted on. This can be achieved by auto-favoriting a thread a member has participated in.
They would also need the ability to opt-out of receiving email notifications for a selected thread. Perhaps the inclusion of a pre-checked "Notify me when a reply is posted box" in [login to view URL] which can toggle the favorite selection is a workable solution.
The scope of this project also includes formating of the email.
PROJECT 2
Enabling private messaging in the forum. This can be achieved by deployment of the bbPress plug in [login to view URL] and modified to mimic phpbb functionality.
PROJECT 3
The forum is enabled with smilies but to use them, they are text coded into posts.
Want to have all the smilies listed as clickable images so that on clicking, the text code is inserted in the post creation box where the cursor is blinking.
PROJECT 4
Insert a "search" feature.
