We're looking for a PHP, Javascript and Wordpress expert to help myself and my team develop Wordpress plugins and site functionalty on an ongoing, long-term basis for our large men's website.
Before I get into specifics, I want to state that the most important thing to us, next to functionality, is code that's INCREDIBLY lightweight and cross-platform/browser capable. We're looking to create series of websites with plugins and functions that load incredibly quickly and work well.
Now... to get an idea of the functionality we're looking for, I'm going to reference one of the sub-projects we're looking to do. So, take a look at this page: [url removed, login to view] At the bottom, you'll see a section labeled "RECOMMENDED FOR YOU". We're looking to create something similar. Post thumbnails, of our most recent posts, will be loaded (from most recent at the top, to least recent at the bottom). The main difference, where on the Thrillist site there is a "LOAD MORE" button, we will implement infinite scroll through Jetpack's infinite scroll feature.
In addition to programming skill, we're looking for someone who is proficient in English. This project will include a lot of communication with myself, and my team. Lastly, we're looking for someone who can work with us for the foreseeable future on other development projects.
