A bug was recently discovered in out software that controls a microscope and associated motorized accessories (stage, lasers, cap robot). This bug causes the cap robot to move a tiny amount (~1um) when the stage moves. This movement is cumulative and once the stage moves about 500 times the cap robot triggers a flag and the software crashes. Our R&D department is overburdened and cannot address the issue until other projects are complete so we would like to contract this out.

We need to create a patch for our software to address this bug and untie the cap robot and stage movements.
