We have an ecommerce website that is hosted with Yahoo ([url removed, login to view] ([url removed, login to view])) and its objective is to be a platform for selling exotic and non-exotic handmade craft.
- The first step of the project to be delivered as quickly as possible consists of building a complete ecommerce solution for our own stuff. The business model building block is “one seller: many buyers”.
- The second step of the project will consist of creating a seller section with rich functionalities to allow other merchants to pay and sell their handmade stuff through our platform. The business model building block here will be ”many sellers: many buyers”.
Yahoo Ecommerce solution has been selected for its ecommerce affordable plan. This solution offer many pre-built and customizable features and we are looking first for a designer/developer for the “first step” of the project for a fast start to get selling.
The main idea will be to create an uncluttered design, corporate look, friendly-exotic look, clean, and smooth with easy-to-use navigation. The scope of the design should cover: header and footer design, information architecture, the user interface, the site structure. The navigation, the lay-out, the colours, the fonts, and imagery.
The person or company for this job should have lots of experience and a track record with Yahoo business solution. Since the website will evolve in a couple of week, we will give the job to a person or company with:
? sound knowledge of Yahoo database, integration and implementation
? experience building Yahoo stores with back-end integration to existing back-office platforms
? Strong communication skills and a work style that is extremely detail oriented
? References or an established reputation on Elance preferred
The website will evolve heavily in the near future and we then are totally open to suggestions and new ideas.
