We have an existing Wordpress retail website with about 1000 products using Woocommerce. We are looking to work with a Website company that has experience in web design and graphic design.

We want to use our old website as a template to build to a new website with a new domain name and rebrand and upgrade the new website. We would then like to redirect the old website to the new one so that the existing traffic is not lost.

Main tasks (but would also like to discuss):

New website tasks

1. Use our old website as a template and copy it to a new host. Update all URL’s to the new domain name.

2. Branding: Change new website to suit our new brand. (we have most of our new branding, but might need a couple of tweaks).

3. New design (we have examples of a style that we like).

4. Homepage logo: We have a new logo but would like a few tweaks made to make it stand out better.

5. Homepage layout: change website top layout section with our new logo and to make it cleaner and simpler (we have examples).

6. Remove unneeded content on homepage (we would like to discuss how we can simplify the content on the homepage without lowering SEO capability).

7. Implement menu system upgrade with some changes to the categories and new style. (we have examples)

8. Products page improvement. These are tweaks to the products layout, what details are shown about the products, and how the price is displayed. (we have examples)

9. Change and improve website search box capability and layout. E.g. add category filters and move the filter system to the left side of the search results. (we have examples)

10. Bottom of the page: Add shop front image (needs a little design work on the image), change google maps image size and a few other items and list changes. (we have examples).

11. Help with making sure basic SEO is implemented on the new website.

12. Fix or upgrade all plugins including things like Instagram and Facebook feeds, Yeost, Google analytics etc so they all work with the new website.

Old website

1. Implement redirection system so customers are sent/directed to the new website.
