Through this role I’ve served as an advisor, editor and creator of content for our internal and external Web sites. This has involved extensive collaboration with our sectors and regions as well as the Strategic Communications team. While in this role I also had the privilege to be the co-lead on the government-wide, Treasury Board-directed, web accessibility and usability project.
This two-year project has seen us develop and implement a brand new web architecture, completely re-write much of our Web site, coordinate all updates with clients, establish and maintain ties with CSC’s iNet team, and regularly report on our progress to upper management.
We completed this project on time, ahead of many other departments, and received an Exceptional Service Award for this work.

While in this role I was the editor-in-chief of the weekly national e-newsletter, as well as the gatekeeper for the e-Communications mailbox. I also assisted in and lead a multitude of e-Communications projects. These projects included but weren't limited to: the planning and execution of events and conferences, providing input on communications plans, researching, writing, and editing stories to be featured on an internal network, creating, proofreading and sending messages to all staff (16,000+ employees), designing multimedia projects, providing photography and graphic services as well as providing advice in regards to the federal identifier program.
Highlights of my time in this position were: directing a recruitment video (now featured on their Youtube channel), assisting at high-level conferences, and travelling to several different provinces to photograph different work sites.

My tweet won the Air Canada EnRoute contest and was subsequently published in the magazine they distribute in all their airplanes. The tweet won because it was well written and really sold the idea of a perfect vacation. This is because I can easily tailor my content for the publication and communication medium it is being used for.
