Sefidel

Sefidel (the worker) agreed/admitted that they would not complete the project. All remaining funds in escrow were returned to Nashoba (the employer).

This was a large, complex project involving converting two technical VB6 integrated projects to comparable VB.NET projects. Original estimates were to have it completed in 3-5 months. However, it ended up taking about 10 months to complete. Sefidel stuck in there, through thick and thin. Lesser programmers would likely have cut their losses and ran for simpler projects. Sefidel addressed most conversion problems, although some were left in a state less than desirable for commercial software. Attention to the finer details needs some improvement. Plenty of contact (emails and phone calls). Employer not left hanging as to what state the conversion was in at any time. At times, worker got stuck on a few issues and should have more promptly consulted the employer (also a programmer) rather than spend needless hours attempting solutions or browsing Internet for potential solutions. Worker converted most issues with language differences (events, syntax, methods, etc.). Some issues with graphics rendering were not converted as well (but this would be normal for most programmers). The code was viewed and stages of completion tested weekly/monthly via WebEx sessions. Worker was able to convert the OPC connectivity even though that item was not on his to-do list. Initial conversion was at times slow, but as the worker refined his skills, the various endeavors took significantly less time to complete. I would consider this worker for future work. Dwayne
