Brief of my campaign optimization strategy:
# Optimization of campaign at keyword matching level. I monitor each keyword for 50-60 clicks (by considering 2-4% conversion rate) and pause if any of these does not convert and add more new keywords by doing keywords research using Adwords keyword planner tool. I prefer + modifier & exact keyword matching.
# Monitor keywords’ quality score (landing page, ads relevance and CTR). I create different ad groups for each theme keywords and keep keywords in ad copies to grow Quality Score.
# Compare performance of different ads copies and create new ads by pausing non-performing.
# Implement negative keywords by analyzing search queries report on regular basis to stop unwanted impressions/clicks.
# Optimize campaign for ads extns, location, time, device (Desktop, Tablet, and Mobile) and gender level. I also work on enhanced campaign for extra features like automatic bidding on location or device level.
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) – I optimize campaigns and also do landing page optimization using A/B testing via different tools like Google Optimize and Optimizely.
Google Shopping Ads (PLA - Product Listing Ads) - I create Google Shopping ads via Google Merchant account by submitting products feeds and optimize it by creating product groups and product performance. Shopping ads are always noted to be more profitable due to low CPC.
Dynamic Remarketing for Google Shopping Sites (PLA) - I create dynamic remarketing campaign in Google Adwords.
Bing Ads – I worked on more than 10 campaigns on Bing and have noted that it gives better conversion rate in comparison to Adwords. Bing has less visitors but all are much genuine than Google visitors so conversion is better.
