I am a freelance AJAX web developer with several years experience with PHP and mySQL. I prefer to develop "seamless" web applications using ajax (javascript client side and PHP/mySQL serverside) to give the end user (visitor) the "desktop feel" to online computing. I began writing code at the age of 13, when I first got my hands on MS QBasic. Since falling out of love with DOS I have dabbled in C (normal C, +, ++ and #), Visual Basic, Java and Javascript. I much prefer PHP and Javascriptfor web development and have accordingly become proficient at those languages. I also have written a few Perl programs for my home BSD server. I live in Cape Town, South Africa. I attended the the University of South Africa and I am educated and trained as a financial accountant and auditor. I much prefer writing computer code as a living though!
