I have an internal enterprise Android application that connects to a server and then calls web services on that server. The server will not always be the same name/IP address. I want a server application that broadcasts its existence so the Android app can "find" it when it. The server app needs to be on a Windows server and written in C#. The Android application is written in Xamarin C# (but an example in java will do just fine). What I want for this deliverable is to learn how to do this. So, I need a very basic C# windows app that will serve as the server and a very basic android app that will act as the client. When the Android app runs, it will "find" the server (without knowing its IP address or name) and receive a string from the server which it will then display on the android device.
