Content Writing

I am the art director of a small art studio in Germany (Concept art, illustration and character design) We are trying to expand our brand by offering a variety of products which require some skills we don't really have at the moment. We are planning on hiring freelancers for now so this is why I am posting this here. One of our services requires a writer (comedy)(scripting for infographics) for now we will start with the project that will be displayed on our website and the project potential customers will see before they decide to hire the studio or not. The name of the writer(s) will not be shown in the final product but will be shown on the website along with the name of the artist(s) The project you will be working on will be used to test the market and our process. The product will be an infographic detailing a special event in someone’s life. For our test product I have volunteered and I will be telling the story of how I met my wife all the way to my kids birth. The process that we have decided to follow this time will be to send the writer a timeline/index with some of the topics the customer (in this case me) would like to include in his LIFE STORY Then based on the information received the writer will have to interview the customer either by Skype or email depending on the customers preferences, I would prefer to have a Skype interview for this project. After the interview the writer will have to create the text for the infographic (We are very interested in having a strong emotional story as we believe that is our key to success) for this project I would like to have comedy as the main mood of the infographic however engaging the reader is our main goal. The length of the infographic (including images should not take more than 5 minutes to read) If this were an article I would say between 400-800 words. We specialise in telling stories visually, we need a writer to help us bring text and images together and to actually engage the reader on a journey (in this case the journey of how I met my wife) A better way to explain it would be a MASTER SCRIPT You will create the story based on my timeline and interview. The story should not take longer than 5 minutes to read. (500-800 words) Your story will be divided in two different categories: 1. TEXT that WILL APPEAR in the infographic (VISIBLE) 2. TEXT that will help the studio create images to tell the story (Instructions to the visual team) Sometimes there will be type 2 Text; some other times type 1 and 2 combined but never only type 1. The infographic should be a complete story and should play with reader’s emotions. (In this case I want the main mood to be comedy but that doesn’t mean you can ‘t play with other emotions) The VISIBLE text should be as brief as possible.
