DNY CLASS about NY city

Over the course of the semester, we have focused exclusively on New York City’s social and political history post- World War II. Most of our time has been spent on each mayor New York City has had during this time. Out of the following mayors (Wagner, Lindsay, Beame, Koch, Dinkins, or Giuliani), which one was the best, in your estimation? Why did you choose this mayor? In your answer provide specific details from their mayoralty that led to this decision. How did these handle crises? What specific items did that particular do to make New York City a better place? Conversely, which mayor was the worst? What are some specific reasons that made their mayoralty a failure? Finally, where do you see New York City’s political and social landscape in 50 years?
