Hi. We have a client that asks for a program that allows him to record a video that shows synchronized images from two different webcams, and has the sound of a mic. Both of the image sources (cams) should be able to be flipped vertically. The same program shold be allow to reproduce the resulting video. It has to be for Mac OSX and Windows. Our client wants to sell this program, so a installer should be created also. Please answer which libraries you think are better for doing this, and which language would you use. Also please let us know if the same source code could be used for both platforms or any platform should need its own source code.

Hello. I'm bidding low because I’m only interested in doing the OSX version. I should be able to do this with Qt or something similar but I’ve been involved in similar projects and I find it to be a lesser experience. I’d be creating this with apple’s native AVFoundation framework. I’ve been working with the framework before. Flipping, overlaying graphics and slow motion I’ve already done before. I just did a prototype testing the multiple webcam inputs, and it’s working well. Language-wise I’d go with apple’s new Swift language. There’s no reason to use use good old Objective-C for a new project, unless support for older operating systems is needed. Swift goes back to 10.9 Mavericks. Hello, I have experience in working with computer vision and image processing applications. I am not 100% sure if the same code would work on OSX and Win, but I have built an app for kinect with OpenFrameworks and it worked on both., so I am pretty positive it is achievable. I am not a big fan of multiplatform solutions (e.g. iOS - Android), but openFrameworks has not failed me yet. OpenFrameworks is a C++ library. Another option would be probably Processing or just plain JAVA. I would be very happy to work with you, Matus Vojcik
