Build windows service and wpf application

Solution description The following will describe the high level requirements for my software development project. The solution will enable users [user are people working on a pc with the software installed] to initiate new or update exiting incidents [incident are tickets in a ticketing system] through one or more forms build in WPF. The application must open when a user logs on to the pc and must be launched by a Windows Service. So the solution consists of two elements: 1. A windows service that runs in the system context 2. A wpf application that runs windows less with only an icon in the systray. The wpf app is started when a user logs on. It is important that the wpf can tell who is logged on as this is needed to call the web service to get the correct data returned The application must at a configurable interval check if records have been created for the user or if records have been updated. If so the systray must alert the user that something has been updated. Preferable we will use this plug-in to allow for some advanced systray menues and popups: [login to view URL] Use case #0 – Overview 1. User wants an overview of ongoing tickets and clicks the systray icon 2. The application opens a form where: a. One sections displays the list of tickets for the logged on user i. It must be possible to click each row to get more detailed information and to update the ticket b. One section holds a button that will enable the user to create new tickets c. Another section displays news from IT (another web service call)
