Data mining and DB setup

This project is focused on locating and mining images of Liquor Bottles based on UPC/EAN codes provided from an initial excel file. • The initial database has over 4000 items (example xls of what we will provide is attached). It’s unlikely that all images can be found however we hoping that a large portion can be. We will happily split the payments up to ensure that work is rewarded. For example we expect first 2000 for example to be quite easy to gather then next 1000 might be a little harder and so on. We will pay for results. • We are looking for candidates that show initiative to go and find the sources. We don’t know one single place to find them. Individual enterprise and initiative is expected to be able to be successful. • The preference is to get VGA resolution images if possible (640x480) – JPG or PNG is preferred. • Bottles with transparent background are strongly preferred • Source must be declared with each image. All efforts must be made to ensure that data is not infringing copyright (the intention is to re-use data elsewhere). For example, [login to view URL] is good source however explicitly forbids re-use. Need “clean” data • After mining stage (or during), we would like an SQL database created and a web front end that accepts the EAN/UPC code and displays the DB content. Database will include:- o EAN/UPC code – integer o Name - Text o Description – Text o Large Image (VGA quality or above) – jpg format o Small thumbnail image - jpg format o Volume (in milliliters) – Integer o Liquor Type - text o Source (where was it mined from) – text o Custom Number 1 (set at 0 for initial DB – no need to mine for this) - integer o Custom Number 1 (set at 0 for initial DB – no need to mine for this) - integer o Last Updated – date – Initially blank o Issues (will be a text field that highlights fields with issues – see below). Initially blank. o Verified (text - Yes/No) – Default set to “No” for initial database Looking for individuals who take the time to actually read the job and think about it.
