We are looking to build a web based application that will monitor a series of devices within a hotel. The application must Installed on a Linux machine, provide authentication/ different user levels. Listen on a given port up or tcp Easily installable for our clients Secure easy to use Must have the ability to communicate with the devices to provide new configuration via the uploading of configuration files and or direct manipulation of the configuration settings of the device This is the first time we have looked and hot at hiring for this type of a project I can provide more information as needed of course.

I am linux developer . I read your requirement. I am doing similar type of work in my primary profile. Tasks like multi-level authentication, easy to use, listing on particular tcp port, secure connections, are very easy. And also the task which is related to configuration update of devices and monitoring/communicating with them is also under my scope. Since your project also need web development so it will take 15 to 20 days to finish. Milestones: 1.> 25 to 30 days to finish primary task like monitoring various devices and communicating with them by tcp connection including security and multi-level authentication. ($4000) 2.> 5 to 6 days to develop GUI. ($450)

I think I'm able to create required software - but to be 100% sure I need the technical details. What kind of devices are to be monitored, and how is your exact requirement about that monitoring process? Please, don't treat "14 days" strictly - not sure, how long it can take before I learn every detail of the work. Maybe it can be one week - or maybe a month, or longer.
