Automate billing worksheets

We’re a small but very busy advertising agency located 20 miles southwest of Boston. We are experiencing tremendous growth and need to hire some additional talent to our team. We specialize in lead generation; meaning if a media source (newspaper, TV, Radio, digital) isn’t working we have to change it up and quickly. This can mean a lot of edits that we have to track throughout the month. Once the month ends, we have to bill our clients for each and every change we made by media source and geographic market. We currently have a spreadsheet that tracks all of our ads and the changes. We also have a fixed price list. What we don’t have is a way for those two documents to “speak” to each other to generate an automated or semi-automated invoice. Nor do we have the skills in house to make it happen. So that’s why we are looking for an Excel expert – freelance, consultant – you call it – to help us revamp our spreadsheets and set them up so they talk to each other and make our lives easier. Who wants to spend hours billing when technology can solve the problem? We need someone who has advanced Excel skills – macro’s, VB, etc., and a proven track record (and can provide references). We need someone LOCAL to the Boston area, someone who can meet with us in our office and develop a strong understanding of our business. This isn’t the only project that we have; it’s just the most urgent one. We will have other advanced Excel projects but really want to establish a good working relationship and partnership first.
