Cattle Dog Understand you need quote tool and not simple estimate tool. I do not recommend use of MS Word. You get all the functionality in the Excel itself. You can have multi page quote with images (if required). The quote can be printed or converted to PDF. You have the option to select few or all sheets for printing. I am mechanical engineer and has worked as GM (marketing) for Electric control panel and other electrical projects. I have developed various tools for easy quote. Understand you are working on Electrification project with lot of labor involvement. We have different group of items and each group has several items. From drop down feature we select the Group. In next cell we select the item from drop down menu. Drop down will show items for the selected group only. On selection of Quantity it fetches the price from the Price list and do the calculation. Prices can be updated from time to time. We shall need a list of Pre-Build items. Each PB item will define its sub components and quantity thereof. The prices are auto updated from the master. Some of the key sheets will be protected and can be edited by authorized person only. This sheet has limited space for discussion and no attachments are permitted.
