Artistic logo design for company and magazine

Create a new logo design, suitable for web or print purposes, for "Deathly Romantic" -- which is both a company name and the name of our magazine. It will be used for the banner in the magazine's website as well. Details: First of all, for practical reasons, the logo has to be able to fit two ways -- 1) horizontally, and 2) a square version where the word Deathly is stacked above the word Romantic -- that way the logos will fit different things...website banners, profiles pages, busienss cards etc. Design-wise, we've considered having the logo look like a tattoo or an elegant crest with swirls or that kind of thing. As for colors we like the idea of a kind of primary red, but a deep red not a bright one, contrasting with black. Although the look and feel should obviously be "dark", and suggest a kind of dark glamour, sexiness and mystique, the "romance" or "romantic" aspect is very important. It's not about "horror" and it's certainly not just about the modern gothic look...it's strong but elegant and refined. As for color palette...we were thinking black and red as the two main colours, with silver-grey as a third, but we are open to suggestions.
