Hello, My name is Ikas Alvians, an editorial and advertising illustrator. I have read your job posting and this is a perfect fit for my skill sets. My work has been published in a wide range of publication, from a poetry anthology book to an online female magazine. All of my illustrations have the crisp of the vector images and enhanced with layers of textures to maintain the sophisticated and professional look. Based on your brief, I would like to respond to the subject of the design: "Plagiarism". According to the Merriam-Webster online dictionary, to "plagiarize" means: 1. To steal and pass off the ideas or words of another as one's own 2. To commit literary theft 3. To present as new and original an idea or product derived from an existing source Using those meanings as the foundation of the design, currently I already have 3 main design ideas. One of them is to design the cover with an illustration depicting a book being ripped off by a hand. The illustration is used to symbolize the literary theft which commonly found in academic writings. Hello there, I will be short and to the point, my basic concept for this book cover would be with the background being a webpage, probably emulate wikipedia as that is something students rely heavily on regardless of teachers warnings. Would like to show the cursor highlighting certain lines of the text on the webpage and have it hovering of "copy". Could even go as far as highlighting a sentence or statistic that is obviously not fact, just to illustrate the danger of plagiarism. Thanks for your time, Daniel
